L'Etranger Finished

Finished this one on up. The previous post was just a cropping that I finished in time to submit to AI (no thanks to their double postponement...).
I feel a lot more comfortable with the text in this piece than in the Heart of Darkness cover and that's mainly due to my inclusion of text in my initial thumbnails (duh). Anyways, you will all surely not be able to see past the glaring irony that I included both the original French title and the english translator, but let's hope that doesn't ruin the piece entirely.
Thanks for lookin!

Super Seaweed Sex Scandal

Hello friends!
Super Seaweed Sex Scandal (conveniently shortened to 'SSSS') is a band that makes noise so hard to accurately describe in words that I have to settle on those often overused and under-representative ones such as "experimental" and "avant-garde" to give you an idea of where they're coming from.
Anyhow, my friend Paul Wheeler is in the band and asked me to do a gig poster for an upcoming show. I'm sure he won't mind the extra advertisement.
If you are in the NYC area March 2nd, you should do yourself a favor and check these guys out. Bad. Ass.

Atom Smashers

Hello hello!
After the fateful Snowpocalypse (as it has forthwith come to be known), I was feeling the need to step up my game a little bit. Having a week off kind of threw off my normal schedule and I couldn't help but worry about the impending real-adult-work-money life that will soon enough be upon me. Hence, I decided to give myself another project in conjunction to my thesis which consists of 1 week editorial pieces focusing around science, politics, lifestyle, finance etc.
This week's piece comes from an article in Science News about scientists using the recently completed particle collider in Switzerland to smash gold atoms together. They found that when two atoms successfully met, they created a super dense, super hot substance that they believe could resemble the infant universe.
